NOTICES:
Lockdown of July 26 - 27 over.
Memo from Warden on this week's lockdown, dated July 27, 2010: "This is to inform you that effective today at 3:30 p.m. the institution has resumed normal programming. As was previously stated, getting to the bottom of the real issues does take some time. Although it involved inmates from several different locations and we had to sort through the diversion of erroneous reports and misleading information, we feel we can safely return to full programming. Cancellation of visitation as reported by an inmate to her parent yesterday, was not discussed or considered yesterday when the decision was made to lockdown the institution due to the serious assault of staff; and the need to conduct a threat assessment due to battery on both staff and inmate. Regarding the packages, we began the process of distribution of quarterly packages on this weekend and as of today over 50 have been issued. Thank you. Velda" |
