"Thank You Ladies"
The following links will take you to a variety of California groups that work to help families and friends of inmates -- those of us "serving time" on the outside!!
Kairos Outside
Are you a woman who has someone (male or female) 'inside' prison walls? There is a WONDERFUL retreat you can attend -- for free!
Friends Outside
This California organization provides help with family issues when you have a loved one in prison. They also help with visiting and childcare at the prisons. The prison you deal with may have one of their counselors on-site, that can help your inmate with questions about re-entry, and get help with jobs, clothes, and lots of other things. Look on this list:

Friends Outside Counselors
A list of people you can call for help at your prison. These people work inside the prison, and can help your inmate, too.

They have great materials and resources to help with new prisoners and prisoners being released, as well as ongoing faith-based classes and contacts.
