Case Management Specialists
Friends Outside Case Management Specialists work for Friends Outside, and are NOT employees of CDCR. There is one assigned to each prison. They work during regular weekday hours, and are INSIDE the prison, where your inmate can contact them.
Case Management Specialists help resolve family problems, help families visit, help inmates find ways to write or telephone home, help families get information on inmate illnesses, and can help with weddings, divorces, child custody questions, and other family-related issues.
They also have access to information on re-entry programs for inmates and inmate families. They can help the inmate seek employment, find educational opportunities, and even help with food, clothing, transportation and lodging for inmates and families.
