1. Playing Cards Donation: A donation of 144 decks of playing cards for the Visiting Room was announced from the Station Casino and a Thank You letter was requested and granted by administration.

Visiting Room Games: A request for donations of games for the visiting rooms was noted by the IFC and the staff mentioned that these must be new and wrapped to satisfy security concerns.

3. Facility Tour: Issues regarding a tour of the facility by IFC were discussed. A planned tour of the senior living unit was planned but cancelled. Administration felt there was no need for such a tour and further request to tour the facility were tabled for a later date.

IFC Minutes Posting In Visiting: Posting of IFC Minutes was discussed and Lt. McCraw will review policies regarding receipt of minutes from the IFC and see that they are timely placed in the Visiting Room.

5. School Supplies: A donation of school supplies for inmate students was announced and provided to the Vice Principal.

6. I.W.F. Purchase of School Supplies: A discussion of an inmate welfare fund purchase of school supplies ensued. It is the IFC's understanding that money is available for education under title 15 from the IWF. This money can theoretically be requested and will be tabled for the next meeting's agenda. Mr. Abrunzo will discuss this possibility with the Chief of the State IWF, Judy Parker.

7. Visiting Room Digital Cameras: The new digital camera in visiting was mentioned and problems regarding the supplies of paper and toner have lead to some restrictions in its use. New resolution setting on the camera and changes in supply requisitions have been implemented. For the time being, the darker backdrops previously used for the old Polaroid camera are not being used to save on toner expense. A cost analysis of the digital camera system is not complete. Cost are covered from the Inmate Welfare Fund and donation for this purpose are not needed.

Visit Termination: The issue of Termination of a visit for an inmate to fulfil a medication ducat was discussed. In the event that an inmate must leave to get medication, the inmate would leave, be processed and allowed to retuned to visiting. The visitor would wait in the visiting room.

Medication Refusal: Inmates who refuse medication may be subject to disiplinary action for failing to show up for the ducat, not for refusing the medication per se. An inmate is required to sign a form stating they refused the medication dose.

10. Inmate Box Lunches: Box lunches for inmates on medical visits are provided. However, inmates are frequently for transferred for procedures without eating to satisfy medical requirements. Extra lunches are brought in the van. If the inmate is admitted, meals become the duty of the hospital.

New Accounting System: The new accounting system is up and running. Kinks have occurred lately due to implementation of the system statewide and isolated events may still be expected. No systematic problems are known.

Inmate Incarceration Time: The calculation of inmate incareration time was discussed. The dermination of release dates is calculated by the Case Record Analyst and given to each inmate as a face sheet. Inmates are eligible for half time status based on yhe nature of the offense under Penal Code 3058.6. Credits for good behavior are defined in Title 15 section 3041. Questions regarding the calculation of time are referred to the courts via the legal processing Unit.

13. Lavatory Renovations: Renovation of lavatories on the main yard are now complete and operable. No knowledge of a drinking fountain made "off limits" were known by staff, but thought to relate to the now repaired plumbing problem.

Family Visiting Housing Unit Conversion?: No plans are known to convert family housing units into offices and this is felt to be a rumor.

15. IFC Bylaws: Bylaws for the IFC were standardized by the State and circulated.

Christmas Goodie Bags: Samples of the Christmas Goodie Bags were displyed and delivery dates affirmed.

17.
New IFC Officers: Election of new IFC Officers were announced. Dutch Fulton will serve as Chair, Victoria Doran as Vice Chair and John Videen as Secretary.

18.
Special Thanks: Thanks to Ms. Doran's dedicated service as outgoing Chair, in absentia, were recognized.
